This project involved the complete refurbishment of a large laboratory building with research labs, tissue culture suites, teaching labs, computer labs, cold rooms, freezer stores and office facilities, together with a flexible general purpose space for seminars and similar events.

All of the mechanical and electrical services were replaced with new installations.

The work was phased over four years, all phases having been completed on time and on budget.

The work had to be carried out floor by floor while the remainder of the building was fully operational.

Central plant was also replaced as part of the project while the building remained occupied.
