This was a complex project in several phases.
It involved the replacement of two simulator suites for the provision of new simulator machines associated with radiotherapy, and then following this the phased replacement of four existing radiotherapy linear accelerators.
All of this work had to be done while the Oncology unit continued to function. The services involved complete replacement of the air conditioning and electrical, water cooling and domestic water systems.
Complex electrical and equipment control installations were provided including large capacity uninterruptible power supplies and essential services supplies for the specialist equipment. |
