The church congregation decided that it was time for a major upgrade of the electrical, lighting and heating installations at the church.

The church is grade A listed and parts of it are among the oldest surviving elements of a church in Scotland.  Extreme sensitivity was therefore required when dealing with the new installations.

The electrical and lighting project was carried out first, followed by the new heating system the following year.   A sympathetic and energy efficient lighting scheme was designed to enhance the gothic interior with its bare stone walls.   The heating installation was designed with specially constructed timber enclosures for ultra-quiet fan convector units.   The timber enclosures were built in oak by joinery specialist Charles Taylor to match the fine pew fronts.
